The Company
Our Company is a family enterprise bearing the name of Holoubek & pravnuci Ltd. (Holoubek & Great-Grandsons Ltd.). Since 1999, we were reconstructing the Skalice Castle premises located in Bohumilice in South Bohemia. The Castle is located in beautiful Sumava region, about 10 km from the Vimperk town. The objective of our activities is to offer complex riding services at the Castle premises combined with tourist and conference services for both exigent and modest clients. The Castle complex offers easy access to the network of cycle routes and riding trails, which will safely guide you around beautiful spots of Sumava and to the neighboring Austrian regions. There are multiple leisure activities available also to visitors without their own car (busses for cyclists, ski-buses and steam train services).
The Castle complex
The lower part of the Castle premises comprises extensive park grounds and two pools. The Skalice Castle proper, originating from 16th century, offers accommodation in two brand new suits with separate entrance and facilities. At the ground floor of the Castle you will find conference premises for approximately 50 persons, which can be used for receptions, lectures, trainings or business meetings. The premises include kitchen, toilets, office as well as a cozy fire place. The Castle Chapel is used for marriage ceremonies.

As a wholesale company specializing on mushrooms we are one of the largest mushroom and forest fruits producers in the Czech Republic with branch offices in Prague and South Bohemia.
